Heat Map population problem with zip codes

Hi all-

I am trying to use the heat map feature and am having problems getting it to target zip codes correctly.  All of the zip codes are US-based, but any zip code that starts with a zero is populating European countries rather than the northeastern United States.  How can I get this to show the zip codes correctly on the map?
