handicaps
Hi Riny just wanted to let you that the progam you did for works exctly what i wanted this works for A grade players, We have a B grade players which handicaps are adjusted differantly (ie) thier haqndicaps are adjusted as follows over 36 points they loose 0.6 for each point over 36 and gain 0.3 for each point under 36 at present i have adjusted your formula =IF(Y9>36,(Y9-36)*-0.6,(36-Y9)*0.3) as that but had to put it in a seperate column just for B grade can that formula be put in as a one liner if not i will just do what i have done
Thanks for all your help it makes my job a lot easier and all can see how many or how few shots they lose as soon as the scores are entered
Thanks again Ian

dawesy Sorry, but I don't really understand the question. Do you want to calculate a handicap adjustment based on strokes rather than points?
Par = 70
Current Hcp = 9
Gross score = 73
Net score = 73 - 9 = 64 (i.e. 6 strokes better than Hcp)
What should be the reduction/increase per stroke better/worse than Hcp?

Yes thats correct same formula as the stableford one with (0.3 and 0.2 ) but with strokes taken off
example =73-9=64 then the formula to take off with that score 0.3 for every point less than 70 or
0.2 for every point over 70 when i tried the stableford formula you did for me it didn't put a minus sign in front of the handicap reduced it did the oposite put the minus sign in front of the handicap to be increased
hope i have explianed better thanks again for assistance
Ian- dawesyFeb 03, 2023Brass ContributorHi Riny
Just tried doing a few changes to the Formula you sent me and i think i have solved my problem
please check the attached formula's Please
This for “A” Grade just altered the *-0.3 to *0.3 and *0.2 to *-0.2 Appears to work ok
=IF(AA10<70,(AA10-70)*0.3,(70-AA10)*-0.2)
This for “B” Grade just altered the *-0.6 to *0.6 and *0.3 to *-0.3 Appears to work ok
=IF(AA50<70,(AA50-70)*0.6,(70-AA50)*-0.3)
If this is OK let me know Thanks for all your help
