Goal seek not giving the answer

Hi. When I try to goal seek a number, it says "Goal Seeking with Cell c18 found a solution.

Target value:0,1

Current value 0.

It is a pretty simple equation, and I've tried everything, but I can't get the answer to show.

it has found a solution, but doesn't give the solution, and doesn't change the numbers in my cells. I can't get the number it has found. Please help

Excel designed for getting specific number by changing only

one cell.  First you need to set cell i.e.B4 then to value 10 and finally

give cell reference in by changing cell address B2 or B3.  There must be

formula for total in B4 to get adjusted. We have given target value 10,

then B3 value will be changed to 6.

sivakumarrj Yes, thx siva, but i've done exacly as you have, where in cell B4 i add cell B3 and B2, and do exacly as you do, but mine doesn't change the number, it only says that it has found a solution. You can see down below. When im on my desktop (macbook air 2020 m1 chip) it doesn't work. But when im on my computer at home it works just fine, and changes the number. I think it is somewhere in excel settings with goal seek that there is a problem.  Because it doesn't show me the answear, just that it found a solution.

Could you attach a small sample workbook demonstrating the problem (without sensitive data), or if that is not possible, make it available through OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or similar?

HansVogelaar Hey hans, thx for quick response. I was not able to attach a picture or a file, but I have uploaded it to paste.pics where it is public. I just made a simple equation example, where you can see it doesn't show the solution, only that it has found one.

Thanks for sending the workbook in a private message.

Goal Seek works correctly in Excel for Windows, although it takes a very long time to solve this simple problem.

I will attach the workbook here. I hope that someone else with a Mac will see it and test it.
