formulas.
So I have created two spreadsheets. one has names and the persons profile number on the end of it. and on the second spreadsheet is the profile number with details of whats' supposed to be given to that person. how do I get them to link up. its been one of them if you don't use it you lose it days for me. I remember reading in a book that I should be able to have some data on one page, and press something and it links ups to the next or second page? can someone help please?

There are many ways to solve this, in the past I would have said us the vloopup, but these days, I would say use PowerQuery.
Basically PowerQuery is on the Data tab, click get data, from file, from workbook, select the file, select the data. Then add another source again using the same method. In the designer tool use merge to join them together.
Lots of Examples out there on how to use it. Too much info to put here.
