hi
I need a formula please. I need to find the sum of all compensation for each the of first column...like add all of compensation for 4 regardless of letter, so compensation is 406000. I tried to post in the community, but it won't let me

The formula in G2 (and copied down) is:
=SUMIFS($C$2:$C$18, $A$2:$A$18, E2 & "*", $B$2:$B$18, F2)

Sheila590 I'm not sure what you mean by trying to post in the community but that it wouldn't let you. Did you try to post to the Excel discussion space?
