formula not computing

I have a very simple formula in a cell: =H92*$I$1 and the cell displays the formula, but does not compute it. I run into this quite often. All cells referred to are formatted as numbers. Some cells in the spreadsheet compute just fine, but this one doesn't. I did make sure that automatically compute is turned on. How can I fix this?

        I'm going to have to let somebody else who's experienced it suggest a diagnosis and treatment. I'd have to play around with the actual workbook to figure it out.
