Formula error & calc problem
Finally found somewhere I can turn to for help – I'm disabled and stuck at home so have no one to ask help from, only the dog and he's not very good with Excel.
in example 1 below trying to total a couple of cells but won't provide a total.
Example 2 just trying to set the currency to GB sterling but keeps coming up with error message.
Running Windows 7 and office 365 Excel.
- Excel does not recognize your numbers as being numbers. Also, it looks like your regional settings are off. Perhaps best to do this:
- Close Excel
- Open control panel, Language and region
- Switch to any country other than yours
- OK your way out
- Open control panel, Language and region again
- Select your own country.

did a reboot
set all country settings back to UK
did a reboot
Don't know if I followed your instructions correctly but it seems to have done the trick, thank you very much.
