I don't know if the following will solve your issue, but may be you can give it a try.
In the Excel options (in Excel 2010, Start / Options) and in the Advanced section, check the checkbox for disabling the hardware graphics acceleration. If this helped, may be you can also check if your drivers for your graphic card are up to date and then try to re-enable the graphics acceleration.
