Formula Bar Defaulting to Non-Functions

Normally when I type = into the formula bar it'll default to a list of functions and then I can hit tab and continue typing. Recently, if I were to enter =sum, I can't hit tab and get the parentheses -- the function is later in the drop down list and instead I'm getting sum with a table icon as the default. How can I change this? Thanks

    1. Check AutoComplete Settings – Go to File > Options > Formulas and ensure that "Formula AutoComplete" is enabled.
    2. Use Function Wizard – Instead of relying on AutoComplete, you can type =SUM( and press Ctrl + Shift + A to insert the function’s arguments.
    3. Clear Cache & Restart Excel – Sometimes, Excel’s cache can cause unexpected behavior. Try closing and reopening Excel or restarting your computer.
    4. Check Named Ranges & Tables – If you have a table named "SUM," Excel might be prioritizing it over the function. You can rename the table to avoid conflicts.
