Formula appearing in cell instead of the result

I have a spreadsheet with many tabs and look ups between the tabs, some cells have the formula showing instead of the result for the look up?

Can anyone help

    Hi Geoff

     

    Try Ctrl + ` in the sheet/s that have the issue. You may be looking at the formula instead of the result on those sheet/s.

    P.S. Also check to see that nothing is in front of the = in that cell as well. If something like '=IF(... then you'll see the formula text.

      I had the same issue and the problem was some cells were formatted as text. Changing whole sheet to general and F2-ing into the janky cells and hitting enter to recalc fixed it.
