finding external links
please advise about finding and breaking external links in an excel workbook
when I use Data/Edit Links, it shows 2 sources, (1 is type/worksheet, 1 is type/remote file)
however, manually breaking the link has no impact on those two sources
when trying to find the links I have been using this sequence and I get no results
control F
find what: .xl (no format set)
within: workbook
search: by rows
look in: formulas

- You can use the free Excel Add-In http://www.manville.org.uk/software/findlink.htm
to find your links.
also check if your excel named range uses the links. Because, if your named range uses the link, you cannot delete the link, unless you delete or modify that named range.
