Finding anything in cell

Question

Hey guys&nbsp;&nbsp;I'm trying to do a sumifs.&nbsp;&nbsp;This is the basic I am using sumifs(B:B, C:C,A1, D:D,"Yes" E:E (if anything is written in any cell regardless of what it is).&nbsp;the last bit is what I'm stuggling with. as EE is a tracking number so its always different.&nbsp;&nbsp;if that makes sense.&nbsp;&nbsp;thanks

=SUMIFS(Outgoings!E:E,Outgoings!D:D,B2,Outgoings!M:M, "Yes",Outgoings!N:N,"*") Its returning 0. Any ideas?

Could you attach a small sample workbook demonstrating the problem (without sensitive data), or if that is not possible, make it available through OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or similar?

"*" works for text. Use "&lt;&gt;" instead:
&nbsp;
=SUMIFS($E:$E,$B:$B,A2,$C:$C,"Yes",D:D,"&lt;&gt;")
