Finding and deleting specific text pattern in Excel Workbook
We have a CSV export that contains a specific recurring pattern of data that has been placed within brackets (e.g. <varioustexthere>) in a number of cells.
Is there a way to have Excel identify all the instances of that particular text pattern (finding all instances of "bracketed" data), so that they can be mass deleted without impacting anything else in the workbook?
Select a single cell (any cell).
Press Ctrl+H to activate the Replace dialog.
Enter <*> in the 'Find what' box.
Leave the 'Replace with' box.
Click 'Replace All'.
