Find as a Toolbar option
I need to have the "find" box as a bottom toolbar. Previously we were using office Libra and this function was available. This makes it easy to type in names for the application we are using and it also sorted a number of searches up to about 10. I hope this excel program offers the same ability to do this.

- mathetesGold ContributorYou might find that in switching software that you'll need to be a bit more flexible. The same functionality is here in Excel, but not necessarily packaged the same. Think of it as comparable to getting a new car....the accelerator and brake will still be in the same location as before, but the knobs for sound and navigation and heating and A/C may be different...
Could you explain what you meant by "and it also sorted a number of searches up to about 10" ...did you mean to say that it SAVED searches? In any event, once you get working on your application, if you're able to do this, upload it so we can see what you're talking about, and ask your questions more specifically. You'll find people here are willing and able to help.- waterstore302Copper Contributor
mathetes Maybe my explanation was poor. What we are doing essentially is we have a customer database by name and we use this data base to access the customers everyday and so we need to quickly find there name on the worksheet so we can update the customers info. On Libra we had a search/find spot on the bottom of the page that we could just quickly type in the customer name and it would search and find it. What I meant by storing was that the same search/find spot retained the customer name up to about 10 names. I hope this helps.
