Find and Replace Highlight colour
When I'm using the Find and Replace function and hit find, Excel finds the cell but its very hard to see because of the highlighted colour. Is there a way to change the default colour? Thanks in adv...
- Jun 04, 2021I understand your struggle now. I guess you will have to rely on the columns and row headers to help you detect the column and row of the active cell.
Option 2 is to use less vibrant colours in your cells.
Also, other people posted your request as an improvement idea for Excel. You can add your vote:

The same thing happened to me. It took me some searching, but I discovered what happened, and how to turn it off. Click the "View" menu. In the "Show" section of the toolbar, there is an option called "Focus Cell." You can turn this option off here, or if you like it, you can change the color of the highlighting. I am not sure how it got activated in the first place, but at least I know how to turn it off now.
Here is a URL for instructions (I cannot get the link to work in this post): https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/blog/microsoft365insiderblog/increase-ease-of-navigation-with-focus-cell-in-excel/4264531

This is the solution I am searching for - thank you! Mine was activated after a mandatory update to the software at work.
