The formula in H4 is,=IF(G4>F4,(G4-F4),(G4-F4+1))*24 I want to keep cell H4 blank untill data has been entered into G4 and F4.

or
=IF(OR(F4:G4=""), "", MOD(G4-F4, 1)*24)
