You will need to check the cells in question for formulas
- it looks like it is entering a formula in place of what I am entering. For example, one cell says 5,44612E+15
- your cell is in the wrong format

This is the formual bar for my cell G8, you can tell it is a formual because the info starts with an equals sign.
If you can't edit the cell check it's settings. If someone made the excell sheet for you, they may have protected the worksheet and locked the cells. Right Click on the cell, select Format, then select Protection. If the cell is Locked and the worksheet is password protected, then you need to unprotect the worksheet and change this setting to enable new data in the cell.
Can you send a screen shot of the formula bar for the specific cell?
