Open an xlsx file. No matter which file I open, when I try to use home or end at a cell where the cursor has selected either goes to A1 for home or to a large selected area or cells. I'm unable to select a cell and be able to have the cursor go to the top of the column or go to the bottom of the column.

if you want to jump to the top or bottom of a column, use the key combination Ctrl+(Top arrow) or Ctrl+(Down arrow)
The same works for the beginning or end of a row.
