Excel
A month ago I sah in Excel at the bottum of the page by the tabs a lock, when I had secured the worksheet.
Now that lock is away.
How is that possible?

Lock icon is removed on Windows, see Microsoft comment here Remove the lock symbols from the tabs of protected sheets

That's too bad. I am not happy about that.

It looks like 50% are happy and 50% are unhappy. Hard decision for Microsoft.

Here it depends, I think, on and from which excel version was opened. Then and now. Example on Office 2013 the key cannot be seen.

I know I don't know anything (Socrates)
- NikolinoDEPlatinum ContributorIt is therefore always a good idea to always name the operating system and the Office application.

I use Windows 10 and Microsoft 365 Excel
- NikolinoDEPlatinum ContributorIf I may recommend you add the problem file (without sensitive data).
Thus help yourself to get a quick answer and to be able to propose the best possible solution to all others who want to help you. Win-win for everyone.
With your brief description, I can only guess whether that or this is.
Thank you for letting me suggest an approach / solution / help.- NikolinoDEPlatinum ContributorI can understand that some people like it not to be seen, especially for those who do small applications in Excel. But instead of giving a setup option (to see or not to see) it was completely abolished ... for half of the users ... I am one of them ... I'm really not happy about this renewal (if you can call them that).
What speaks against doing something good when nobody is looking? ... I would like the MS to make this available again. - HelmertHvRCopper Contributor
NikolinoDE Here is the file without the lock at the bottom in the tabsign before the name 'Blad1'

HelmertHvR But the lock sign is still there.
