Excel worksheet won't display text within the text box when opened on Apple computer

When I send excel worksheets to clients , they see the words within the TEXT BOX. It only shows the outline of the box but not the message within it.

Could you re-state the issue here? You seem to be contradicting yourself:

    • your first sentence ends with the clause "they see the words within the TEXT BOX"
    • but the next sentence is: "It only shows the outline of the box but not the message within it."

    So which is it?

That aside, assuming you may have inadvertently left off a "don't" in the first sentence, I wonder if you used a color or format or font that they simply don't have.

I am on a Mac myself and never have difficulties with text boxes, so I definitely don't think the issue is that Macs are not displaying text within a text box; there's something else going on that is leading to this incompatibility between what you see and what your clients see,

mathetes  Yes thank you, I did inadvertently leave out the word "Don't"

So when they open my email and open the attachment, the messages within the box are not visible. I think there must be a specific format I need to choose when saving my worksheet so my iphone clients can see EVERYTHING i've put together for them.

Ahh, this is the first time  you've mentioned iPhone as part of the picture. So I went into my iPhone and checked with a spreadsheet that has a text box and, again, had no problem seeing it. But nevertheless, the fact that you're speaking of an iPhone rather than an Apple Computer (which your title mentions) means you're also working with a relatively small screen...... making me wonder whether a text box is essential in the first place.

Is it providing some kind of instruction on how to use the worksheet? Could a different design be used that's more intuitive? Etc.
