Excel Workbook Link Source from 1 workbook tab to another
Hi, I've seen some similar posts but not sure if what I am looking for is correct. But here goes. Because it involves work, I'll say Workbook A and B. The idea is taking Tab 1 of Workbook A ...
When you paste as a link, Excel inserts formulas in the format:
='[Workbook A.xlsx]Tab 1'!A1
This means that each cell in Workbook B is referencing the corresponding cell in Workbook A.
Ensure the full path to Workbook A is accessible, especially if stored on a network.
Some older versions of Excel or web-based Excel (Excel for web) might not fully support automatic updates for linked workbooks.
