Excel takes long to enter a number into the field
My excel spread sheet is only 1.66 Mb in size .. but when I go to enter a number into a square
( i.e. A 5 ) the mouse moves across the square on each stroke But it takes about 4 odd seconds for the six digit number to be displayed -shown.. It also displays this same problem if I tab between the columns/sections . It is 'thinking' as it waits to enter the number, or display the cursor in the field when tabbing .
Why?
It should enter the figure the moment I enter it off the number pad.
.( in my windows 10 latest updated version ..)

Excel is doing a recalc after every data input. Because of the size of the workbook it takes some time to perform the recalc.
