Excel Tables
Hi Joe, after hitting 'yes' can you still see 'Table Tools' (at the top right of the sheet) when clicking any cell on the table?
Yes, 3 items in Cells tab - Insert, Delete, Format

Hi Joe, Excel keeps orginial formatting of the table after converting it to range, and it may not be apparent at first glance that the table has been converted. The 'Insert', 'Delete' & 'Format Cells' would appear on the shortcut menu both for the table and the range. It is the presence of the 'Table' command on the shortcut menu that would tell you if you still have table. Could you please confirm if you can still see the 'Table' command on right-click on any cell of the table range after you have done the conversion?

Hi Joe,
How do you know the table is not converted? In addition to what Yury asked you may right click on any cell where your data is (i.e. table or range). If you see Table item within Quick Analysis group of opened menu - you are still with table. If no such item - it was converted.

Hi Sergei,
Don't know if you saw my message (below) to Yury, perhaps I have to reply to individaul messages!
When I right click in any cell I am given the option to convert to range, also if I go to insert "table" is Greyed out, I also have tried under "Design" and convert to range an option which is not available unless it is a Table. This is happening to any sheets which are in this work book. This only happens in some workbooks, others work perfectly.
Many thanks Sergei and hopefully you can help further.
Best regards
Joe

Hi Joe,
If you have different behaviour for different workbooks (assuming you work on same PC with same Excel application) first thing to check
1) Your workbook/worksheet is not protected
2) Your workbook is not shared
3) In your workbook are not selected more than one worksheets at once
Above is just in case.
And back to converting issues let me clarify
a) you stay on any cell WITHIN the table
b) you see Table Tools->Design menu in the Ribbon
c) you click on Convert to range, Excel asks you if you are sure
d) you answer Yes
e) Table Tools->Design menu disappeared
As above or something doesn't work in above sequence? Which step?
