excel split text into 1 column
- Aug 28, 2021
do this for all your columns:
When you're done
Do a power query on each of the two columns in the image above, load as a connection
when you have done all the queries on all letters, do an append query on all the queries so they'll all be in one column. Keep in mind that excel has a limit of 1 million rows so you might have to break them up by alpha/numeric segments.
cheers

- dattmuffySep 03, 2021Copper Contributoroops silly me
ok i think ive got the hang of this now
i may revert here while i glossarize many other important documents
thank you very much! - dattmuffySep 02, 2021Copper Contributor
i started a new document for oklahoma protection of environment os27a
it is a much smaller example for convenience
i managed to get this far but my problem now is whenever i sort the COUNTIF column by largest to smallest it errors a prompt "you cant change part of an array"
ive tried changing it to text data or copying and pasting but it yields same
id like them sorted from largest to smallest so when i go to browse reading words only it gets more and more interesting. then i may do it letter by letter largest to smallest to keep things fresh.
not sure where i left off but i am very grateful to have made it this far
thanks
