Excel selects wrong cell
kaseygoh yes that works. For one click, before the issue re-occurs. Then you can use the laptop's trackpad instead of the mouse, and that works for one or a few clicks before the position gets out of sync again. Then you can resize the window, and that may work too for a few clicks. Once you've done all these workarounds and Excel is truly confused, the only way to recover is restarting the application.
I'm having the same issue and have been for some time.. It's so frustrating. The issue occurs on my Civil Service issued Dell laptop when using Excel in the App rather than the online view and my own HP laptop. Both use Microsoft 365. It occurs whether I'm using my mouse or a trackpad. Today it seems worse then ever on my HP. It tends to resolve if I minimise the screen and then maximise it again. But today that is only lasting one or two cell clicks at a time. So frustrating!

Yes, happens across different laptops. Windows versions/builds, monitor configs etc. etc. I can't get by with the web version as it's not the same, doesn't do certain things and has a lot of crazy bugs.
I resolve the issue by very quickly scrolling the display up and down, that seems my quickest way, but the issue returns.
I'm thinking of creating dozens of new tickets so at least other users around the world have a greater chance of finding the threads and adding their concerns.
The fact Microsoft abanonded the case and have refused to even reply for a long, long time, is utterly disgusting.

Totally agree.
