Excel Question
I'm working on a Excel spreadsheet. It is very very busy. I need certain cells to be accessable with other locked out. I have follwed the instruction with completing my document and saving it. I then high lighted page top left corner, then I hit Control shift F to take protection check off, then I came back to hold control and high light the cells I want to be workable with other pass word protected. Every time I do it the whole page locks out. Its driving me nuts. I have tried everything but nothing I do works.

Hello,
by default, all cells in an Excel worksheet have the "Locked" property on the "Protection" tab of the "Format cells" dialog selected. Select the cells where people can make changes and format these cells to take away the tick in the "Locked" property.
After that, you need to click "Review > Protect sheet" to protect the sheet. Here you can enter a password. When the sheet is protected, only the unlocked cells can be changed.
In order to change the locked cells, you need to go "Review > Unprotect sheet", enter the password, and then you can edit the locked cells, as well.
If you do that, is there anything that you want to change?
