Excel not working properly since updating to Windows 11
I have the same problem for months now after upgrading to Windows 11. I see others too. Therefore, it affects many of us.
I use the remedy of moving the horizontal slide bar. But it really frustrates me every time, especially when you’re in a hurry in completing a workbook.
I am new to this forum, and found it after googling the Excel problem. I too am experiencing problems with Excel after upgrading to Windows 11. I was reluctant to upgrade due to this type of concern.
Excel is very frequently unresponsive and basically freezes. I believe I have noticed a progress bar labeled "Rows" at the bottom that very slowly fills up.
I am starting a project next week, and am considering uninstalling Windows 11 if that is possible.

I eventually had Dell come out various times to get this resolved as my own IT department was not able to do so. Dell in turn replace my SSD and replace my motherboard twice under warranty. My laptop was formatted 4 times since July 2022. After 6 months of fighting with the manufacturer they finally replaced my laptop under warranty. The technician said he only dealt with this issue once before and they could not resolve the issue and also replaced the laptop under warranty.- JPedersen52Jan 11, 2023Copper Contributor
Same problem. My workbook was running perfectly and now it seems to go off and think about something else in the middle of my work. Screens will flash up when they shouldn't. Very, very frustrating. You need to fix this Microsoft. At the very leasst identify what is causing the problem to the User and leave them hanging like this. Kind regards.

This problem is not limited Excel. It happens in Word and other Office 365 apps. They periodically report "Not responding." If I wait a minute or so, they come back to life. I'm on a brand new high-end HP laptop with gobs of RAM and 10T of storage, and a large SSD C: drive. Original factory install of Windows 11. There's a problem here related to the Office suite.

I am having the exact same problem (doesn't toggle between multiple open sheets), but not with jut excel. I also have issues with open web pages and file explorer. I was looking for help, but looks like I am SOL.

I too have experienced problems with Excel since installing Windows 11, which I just did a couple days ago. It does not accurately save my worksheets, but brings up previous versions when I go to print. I have tried troubleshooting on my own, including copying the document to a new spreadsheet. But even in that case it copies a prior version of the document. I am not new to Excel. So the problem must be rooted in Windows 11. Any help would be appreciated.
