Excel 'Locked' Error Message
I have created a Folder in a SharePoint library in which I am storing Excel files that are being edited by a script in preparation for a move to a SharePoint list.
The script is working.
The file is updated one or two a day or several times per week.
If I try to manually move/copy of version of the Excel file, with the same name, to the folder (for testing purposes) I keep getting an error message that says the file is locked by another user, though no other user is accessing the file and no flow is currently running on the file.
Why am I getting this lock message, restricting my access to the file, and how do I correct?
That's happens from time to time and another user is you. Question is more to SharePoint people, possible (but not all) solutions are check-out/check-in the file; close all instances of app which you use to work with file; just wait for a while. First I found is The file is checked out or locked for editing by another user – MetaShare Help but you definitely could find more.
