Excel in server location drive changes are not updating

Dear All,

I have an issue with excel file stored in server shared drive. file is having full access to 4 employees, one user made changes to the file which other users are unable to see the updated changes. when i restarted the laptop of the affected user he cannot even open the file and shows 0 bytes where others can open the file. 

From server location i renamed the file then this affected user is able to see two files ( one old which he cannot open and other is new file which he can open with old changes). The old file in affected user laptop is not accessible and even cannot delete or move.

Please help.
