thank you Donald_Genes but what to do in case all of these c2, c3, and other are many in a big excel sheet let say the values that are the same and are many how will i click on each of them to ad them in the formulas yet am not even sure how many are they

Simple highlight all the range of Column that contains C2to whatever c10000 and use same logical Analysis.. Haven't seen the data to know what you really saying

This is the result i want to have
Based on Column A at every change a different color is applied to facilitate the reading of the table and its changes. currently the way i make this is that i highlight all row with the number 1510 and highlight it with a color and select another and apply a different highlight and this is will be very hard when am dealing with a large number of rows that i have to check especially when they are not sorted out.

If this is fix number of rows, like for year 1991 10 rows and for year 1992 10 rows then just simply add a column put 10 vakues of 1, then out 10 values of 2, copy these twenty cell and repeat under it, copy 40 now and paste..repeat till u r covering entire datw. filter 1 color it, filter 2 color it
