Excel has got numbered columns

My Excel has recently got numbered columns instead of letters.
E.g. the left-most top cell (normally A1) is called "R1C1" (Row 1, Column 1?).
Example:
If I type SUM(C3:C12), columns C to K are market all way down.
Any idea how to solve this?

  • Which Excel version are you working with? For version 2016: Go to File, options, formulas and than deselect the first box with ...... R1K1. Then click OK and your columbumbers should be changed to ABC, to be used in your formulas as well.
