Excel Frustration
Good morning.
I have a workbook with 10 protected sheets and 2 unprotected sheets. The protected sheets contain cells that are locked and/or unlocked with the intent for users to input data as they work through a corresponding procedure. The issue - when users open the workbook, they encounter an error message when attempting to enter data in any of the protected sheets. However, if they open one of the unprotected sheets, then go back to a protected one, they are now able to enter data and save their work? This also applies to the Review/Unprotect Sheet icon - it is initially greyed out when the workbook is opened, but after opening an unprotected sheet, the Review/Unprotect Sheet is now available?
Am I missing a setting, or just losing my mind? LOL Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

That is not behaviour that I have encountered.
Do you have VBA that is progressively removing the protection.
- TSitterCopper ContributorNope ... there's no added coding or anything in this file ... just a basic multi-sheet workbook with some sheets protected and others not. I've never encountered this before either. It's the strangest thing.
