Excel formulas not working across multiple sheets
Could you attach a small sample workbook demonstrating the problem (without sensitive data), or if that is not possible, make it available through OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or similar?
HansVogelaar Each monthly total formula is correct because they're identical (with the exception of the actual month) to the other quarterly sheets.
- Patrick2788Oct 17, 2024Silver ContributorThe status bar in the bottom left of your screen capture indicates a circular reference in E8. You may want to resolve that first.

I've attached a file which I created from yours, demonstrating how a single flat file (single database) can be used easily in Excel to create your summary reports by month.
This is but one way--there are many others. I didn't use the Pivot Table here in part because I wanted to show that there are other ways. And this could be made more elegant and flexible.. It is simply a demonstration of the powers Excel has to work with single databases. and that single database could hold multiple years worth of dates if history is ever desired, comparisons of similar periods in prior years, etc.
By the way, you can also post files on OneDrive or GoogleDrive as a means to share them here.
