Excel formulas for day counting

why is it that my formula for counting days using in between dats seems to not be counting either my first day or very last day? for instance enter date 5-1-22 and exit date 5-15-22, should be 15 but it only counts 14? How can i fix this

Dates are integers in excel, so 15-1=14. If you want to include the last day, then add one (=B1-A1+1).

dlcusic1 Dates are stored as numbers and Excel merely calculates the difference between two numbers. Just like 10 - 1 = 9 , though when counting from day 1 to day 10 you'll end up with 10 days. So, with dates you must add 1 if that's what you need.
