Excel formula based on input
I have a spreadsheet that lists several months data, I need to automate it to take one month minus another month based on the period I enter. For example, if I have Per 01 through P12 and I want to be able to enter P08 and it automatically takes P08 minus P07, then if i change it to P09 it would take P09 minus P08

- Can you post a copy of the spreadsheet, or a mockup of it if the actual contains confidential info.
It's not really clear what you're wanting to do. I assume you really mean you want to subtract something like sales data for period X from that of period Y. Could be other measures of productivity, or class attendance, or rain fall. Your description leaves a lot of questions unanswered.
