Excel Formatting UK Sort Code to Date Automatically
Hello,
I am currently trying to format a CSV that contains UK Sort Codes (in the format of 01-02-03) in order to send to payroll. For some reason, when we input the sort code into the CSV, it automatically formats it into a date (01/02/2003 - UK Date Format).
I have tried to add an apostrophe in front of it (ie input cell as '01-02-03) which does format the cell correctly, however when i save and reopen the CSV, it goes back to date.
Does anyone know a solution to this? Cheers

- Excel is great for importing CSV's and crunching the data inside, but it isn't a very good app for editing CSV files, I recommend having a look at a dedicated CSV file editor. There's a list here: https://listoffreeware.com/list-of-best-free-csv-editor-software-for-windows/
