alfredwhitehead Not that weird, it is the spell checker that works while you are typing. Normally it should wait until you type a character that usually denotes the end of a word, such as a space character, a period or a comma. Even this website does that if you are typing a reply and have what it thinks is a spelling error. In Word you can get rid of the wavy underlines by turning off spell checking while you type:

This is one of the two "underlines". The other one appeared in a blank area when I added two rows to the bottom of the form.

Are you sure that this is in Excel, and not in Word?
- alfredwhiteheadOct 10, 2024Copper ContributorWell double darn! My idiot side is on display. You are correct it IS in MS Word not in Excel.
I'm so sorry. It has been so long since I made that up for my wife and I had forgotten where I did it.
Still the question remains the same, how to remove the wavy underline?- Patrick2788Oct 10, 2024Silver ContributorRight-click the underlined word | Spelling - you can Ignore it or add to dictionary (Word won't flag it in the future).

That worked for the underline under the word Silac.
However the other underline is in a blank space. I selected the entire "cell" and after some fiddling about I believe I have it gone permanently.
I then saved a copy of the clean file.
As an aside to this post I notice that I am getting those red wavy underlines randomly popping up as I type in other programs. They always disappear as I keep typing the word however.
VERY ODD!
