Excel for Mac - INPUT date format - how to change
I am used to inputting dates as mm-dd-yy. On my on PC you were able to choose what format you wanted for input. Just added a iMac to the mix and cannot find a place to change this INPUT FORMAT. ...

I have to check on my Mac to see if such a setting is available as in Windows (currently away on Windows PC)
However, you could set your cells having dates to display in mm-d-yy format.
Go to custom in more number formats and simple put 'mm-d-yy' in Type box.
Yes, you would have to do it every time. If you are working with a date column, you could select the column and set the custom format. Other than this, to my knowledge, you have to do it for every other cell/sheet/workbook.
