Excel File Size 8992kb!!
Hi All,
We have a couple of files that contain some sort of data to the boundaries of the sheets, and performing CTRL SHIFT END brings me to cell WJJ 288888. File size is 8992kb!!
I have tried select all and clear all content, I have tried reducing my selection to just the W's, but it's freezing my computer and Excel ends up shutting down.
My question is, is there a better and quicker way to reduce the size of the sheets, as there are about 100 sheets in each file, and I don't have the time to go through and clear the contents of 100 columns at a time!

- Willy LauSteel ContributorI assume that this file which contains the data must have its purpose. May i know why do you need to select all and clear all content? Would you mind describe more what you expect the size-reduced workbook?

Hi WIlly,
When I use the CTRL SHIFT END function to take me to the end of each sheet, it goes to WJJ 28888,
there is only data cells used to around AD 253. The end of the sheet should not be so far, so by clearing the contents of unused cells, it will reduce the size of the file, I know how to do this, but because there are around 100 sheets in the file with this issue, I can't do it for every sheet, it would take hours that I don't have

And I wouldn't expect the file to be over 1000KB, it's not that complex, it only has one totals sheet linking to each of the information sheets
