Excel Embedded on webpage - Updates in real time?

I read online that it should update in real time. I see response in a previous post that says updates maybe 1,2, or 5 minutes later. Not the case for me.

I created a blank book. made changes. checked the embedded page. nothing updates.

anyone else have luck?
