Excel Drillthrough Broken : SQLNCLI11.1 not registered
I connecting a pivot table to Adventure Works hosted in SSAS (16.0.42.209) from Excel Desktop (2408) and everything looks good until I'm trying to perform a drillthrough (Show Details) :
I get the following error :
Errors in the back-end database access module. The provider 'SQLNCLI11.1' is not registered.
But it seems this client stuff has been deprecated and I cannot install it. Is Drillthrough still supported in Excel against SSAS 16.x ?

You're connecting to SSAS 16.x. In your case, ensure that you're using the correct version of the SQL Server Native Client that corresponds with the version of SQL Server you're connecting to.
