Excel desktop formula connection to Excel online
Hi community,
I've searched online for a solution to directly connect to a sharepoint excel or excel online in the formulas. Most sites say its not possible and then this guy has an issue with a formula that seems to work:
='https//SERVERNAME.sharepoint.com/sites/XXXStoreDevelopment/Doc Box/[SUT_Rates_01012023.xlsx]TxRates_20230101'!$G:$G
But when I try to recreate i cant get it to work,
- Do you know why?
- Can you help me with the syntax in the url that opens up/ links to the data?
-at what level should the last dash be: /[SUT_Rates_01012023.xlsx]TxRates_20230101'!$G:$G
- and do you need to set it up in a table, like it seems here: [SUT_Rates_01012023.xlsx], or is it the name of the sheet?
Many thanks for any help

If you open both files in desktop Excel you should be able to simply point and click and let Excel do the rest
