I think file is very large it seems. Try to save excel files as .xlsb format which will solve your issue. Even I have faced this issue. Finally .xlsb solved my problem. Hope this will help you too...
Sadly that didn't work either. I have found sometimes when I open task manager to close a program that also quits responding.
