Excel converting a code to an abbrevation

Hello, 

Can someone advise how to do this? 

I am a list of codes that I would like excel to recognize and convert to the name of the product. 

Ex. 402A59 converts to name Widget.

How can I do that? 

This is a report I create every morning and would save a ton of time.

    Hi bcooney,

    Do you have a table with all the codes and names? If so, you should use vlookup()
