Excel Convert to Range Not Working
I'm trying to disable table functionality in a spreadsheet. It's pretty extensive. So, I do not what to have to delete everything and start over. I've tried the Table Design>Tools>Convert to Range, b...
- Mar 04, 2024I may have found a work around. I copied the table and pasted the formulas on a different worksheet and deleted the corrupted table. That seems to have fixed the issue.

When you convert a range to a table, the formatting is left behind. But the "table" is no longer a "table" (which you can prove by inserting a row in its middle and you'll see the alternate shading is now "off").

Thanks, Jan. However, that is not what I'm seeing. Even after choosing Convert to Range the table is retaining it's table features, not just the formatting. I did as you suggested and inserted a new row and the alternate shading is visible. Additionally, the filter drop down arrows are still in the header row. I'm getting no error messages. I click "yes", the dialogue box goes away, but the table remains unchanged.
