Excel Conditional Formatting
I am trying to make an excel to help keep up with my college work. I want to use conditional formatting to show what I have done, started, or not started.
Is there a way to make one conditional formatting rule that will apply to each row separately based on what is typed in column E? I want the formatting to apply all across each row and not just to the cells in column E. Like for example if I type "Not Started" in cell E2, then A2 - E2 would turn red, but the rest of the rows would remain as they were before
Thanks

=$E1="not started"
Maybe with the above rule for conditional formatting which is applied to this range in the example:
=$A$1:$E$15
