Oct 02, 2018Excel Conditional Formatting
Hello! I am doing conditional formatting between to cells which is working. The issue is that when I try to copy the formula to paste it to a new row it updates the "applied to" cell but now the updated cell. In the image below it is not updating "$D$53" when pasting. Is there a way to paste it so that it updates both cells?

I am copying Cell 73 and pasting on cell 74. It updates the "applied to" (=$C$74) cell but not the other one, it stays at "=$D$73="Sales"". I need it at $D$74. I have been having to go in and manually update each one.

remove the $ from the number like:
$D$73 to $D73 - then copy..
the dollar sign signifies a definite location - it will not change when copied elsewhere.
hope this helps..
