Excel columns
This may be a dumb question but columns used to be labelled with letters and I could create formulae easily. Now my columns appear as numbers and don't know how to refer to particular cells. For example if I want to add the cell in the first column and first row to the cell in the first column and second row I used to write = A1+A2 or =$a$1+$a$2. What do you do now columns are relabelled with letters? Am not sure how to write formulae now columns are also labelled with numbers.

- You need to switch back to Row Column Ref Style R1C1 by ALT T O F > Working with formulas

Matt_Benge That's called "R1C1 referencing style". You can switch it back to what you are used to in Options.
