Excel chart formatting
Many thanks! Not only for the swift reply but the detailed instructions.
With regards to (1), I wish they'd be a little more consistent. Most of the time when you want to format something, you right-click it. Here you must double-click it.
1) Double click on X-asis (or select Format X-axis) and in right pane select
2) Select Format Data Series and apply desired format to Markers (these cycles) or disable them at all
3) Select Format Axis and define Minor Units for desired Minor Gridlines steps
after that allow minor gridlines
4) Double click on border (or select Format Plot Area) and format the border as desired
