Excel Centre Border Line
I'm creating a family tree in Excel and wish to insert a vertical line in the centre of a cell but this option is grayed out in borders.
Please advise how I can obtain this option, please?Excel Borders
- DvdHaakCopper ContributorHey! If u are still working on this perhaps checkout: https://www.template.net/editable/family-tree/excel
- prussianmartinCopper ContributorThanks for those templates.
I've decided to start with a blank Excel workbook in order to replocate from a paper copy a family tree produced by my uncle in the 1990s. Once down (hence the line question) I can add new names to the tree.- DvdHaakCopper ContributorAah that seems like an amazing project! If u need any help be sure to post it on here. Almost nothing is impossible with excel. Even what u asked isn't directly impossible.
U could technically make what u desired but it would be alot of work.
U could merge all cells into 2x1's and then leave the places u need the line for unmerged for instance. But i am just purely sprouting out ideas not saying it is practical.
You can create vertical borders between cells, but not inside cells. So if you select a single cell, or cells in a single column, the vertical border box is disabled.
